EDIT: Updated with a new version that includes a horn and pair of wings, note the wings are not fully drawn as these little faces are intended to fit within a 100 by 100 canvas, of course you're more then welcome to edit if you so wish. Now, I'm not sure if this is the best way to do it however I've adopted a drag and drop type of approach to template design. Instead of uploading 8 different faces there is only one, and it's up to you to construct the type of pony you want. Just select the piece(s) you want and drag them over the basic face.
Included are: Female Eye Shape (basic eyelashes), A Unicorn horn and spread pegasi wings. Admittedly this doesn't work too well with Gale (Incidentally the program I use.) but if anyone else actually uses it I can upload a gale file which should make things remarkably easy.
In a change from the normal, I present some pixel art.
You know, I'm actually pretty pleased with how it came out.
In case it isn't obvious this is a template to help people create their own MLP FIM pixel portraits. Left is the version without eyelashes, AKA Male, middle is with eyelashes, female and to the right is the palette of all the colours used in the template, to make editing easier.
You are all free to use this without my permision, in fact you are encouraged, providing it isn't for commercial gain.
Edit this as much as you like but please credit me for creating the base if you upload it to Deviant Art or otherwise.
Of course, if you do create your own artwork based on it I'd love to see it.
Also, no unicorns for now, sorry, but I will hopefully be creating some updates when I can create a horn design I like.
If anyone has any advice on things I've done wrong, or things that could do with improvement, I'd be happy to listen. I want to improve as an artist pixel or otherwise so if anyone can point out a way I can improve, then surely that's a good thing.
